The evolution of the tango between Buenos Aries and Paris was celebrated in a concert of exhilarating music to mark the 30th anniversary of the French May Arts Festival.  The concert held on 24 May 2023, featured guest conductor Philippe Forget and accordion soloist Nazar Tabachyshyn.

Here’s what our audience had to say:

The vibe was great. I liked this concert a lot.

Ms. Ho (Kwai Chung)

The accordion player was so wonderful.

Miss Hung (Hong Kong)

Tango in Paris was great. CCOHK led by Philippe Forget with Nazar Tabachyshyn on solo accordion was magic. An enjoyable moment of great music.

Mr. Pun (Happy Valley)

A delicate design on the repertoire. For Piazzolla, you have presented pieces that are less traditional, yet quite special for the orchestra. Good choices!

Miss Leung (Hong Kong)

Wonderful and well worth the price! A must-see!

Mr. McKay (Kowloon City)

Accordion collaborating with orchestra was amazing!

Ms. Ho (Kowloon City)

Nice! Good choice of repertoire! Extraordinary performance!

Miss Pong (Cheung Sha Wan)

Wonderful.

Ms. Lee (Hong Kong)

Passionate and with colourful dresses.

Ms. Mak (Sham Shui Po)

Great show. Thank you for inviting such great talent to perform. I’m impressed by my first-time concert hall experience. Looking forward to attending more shows.

Miss Yu (Lam Tin)

The styles of the pieces played are unique.

Miss Ho (Ma On Shan)

I quite enjoyed the ambience of the performance and the energy radiating from it. The mood created was relaxing yet energising, and the sounds were reminiscent of cartoons I grew up watching such as The Adventures of Tin Tin. The accordionist was masterful, the conductor was exhilaratingly lively, and the orchestra were excellent as usual.

Mr. Kumar (Tuen Mun)

Splendid!

Miss Wong (Hong Kong)

Excellent!

Miss Yu (Hong Kong)

Great show! I especially liked the accordion performance!

Miss Tsang (Hong Kong)

Nice. I liked the accordionist.

Miss Lu (Hung Hom)

Amazing!

Ms. Endrizzi (Sai Ying Pun)
